First lunch in Siem Reap! We got off the boat and found an amazing hotel (Angkor Holiday Hotel). First order of business before getting to Angkor Wat sunset is to have some Khmer lunch in exotic Siem Reap. On the way to Angkor Wat is this bbq restaurant that looks very good for an evening of dining. It features an outdoor cooking and seating area with a nightly shadow puppet performance. more...

Not only have I eaten at first class restaurants featuring the best cuisine Cambodia has on offer, prepared by the best talent they have grown, I have taken advantage of the variety of street foods as well. This type of eating represents the poor people's diet and is a chance to share directly in their humble eating habits." more...

Considering this, I was amazed to look at the menu of, among other creations, Stir Fried Red Tree Ants with Beef and Holy Basil. Now that is a dish made just for me! :) more...
