Dinesty Chinese Restaurant on Urbanspoon

It was time for Chinese food again, so I accompanied my eating partner Dominic Tan to Dinesty Restaurant in where else? - Richmond #3 Rd. best eating street in Vancouver!

This is another Northern Chinese cuisine restaurant in Richmond that has been very busy whenever I have visited before.

The quality of food here is excellent, worthy of many repeat visits. There are seafood dishes here that are so good that they border on the legendary, for example the "Ancient Boiled Fish", a large bowl of super-spicy fish soup with huge chunks of white fish & loaded with chiles & vegetables... 'out-of-this-world' as it were.

Dinesty Restaurant

Heading north from No. 3 Rd. hang right onto Ackroyd Road, take first left. Loads of parking. Always busy - always a good sign.

Their emblem is large and bold, easy to see from a distance.

D06: Deep Fried Fish 'SU ZHOU' Style. This is a mouth-watering preparation of fish, moist and very intricate layers of taste. We probably order this every time we eat here.

Dinesty Restaurant

S15: Marinated Beef w/ Soy Sauce Wrapped in Pancake. A very tasty beef roll, better than those at Shanghai River Restaurant. I think someone was hungry and ate some before I snapped this shot :)

Try some with chile sauce! Mmm..

E03: Ancient Boil Chile Fish - my favorite ancient boil fish soup ever! This is an amazingly tantalizing and mouth-watering dish. Actually 2 persons could easily just order this $9.95 dish with rice and be satisfied until dinner-time.

Dinesty Restaurant

There are heaps of white fish in this soup covered with what I guess to be Dundicut chiles. I always eat three or four of these chiles with this soup-dish. I enjoy the combination of the pepper's strong, fruity taste with the dry-roasted flavor.

D07: Deep Fried Tofu Pudding in Garlic Sauce. Crispy & crunchy on the outside - soft & slippery on the inside. Chewing and slurping through these treats is pleasure!

Dinesty Restaurant

D12: Spicy Beef Tendons. As well as being very healthy, Spicy Beef Tendons a 'comfort food' for me. In fact for $5.95 just this dish with rice is a smart choice lunch for an individual soul. 100X better than a fast-food hamburger for the same price!!
