Hand-made Noodles at Peaceful Restaurant

If a Chinese restaurant in Vancouver advertizes their hand pulled noodles prominently, don't be so quick to get excited. There are plenty of them around, the best being in Richmond, and the rest of the food on the menu must never suffer because the restauranteur tries to overemphasize the novelty of their noodles. Peaceful Restaurant unfortunately becomes something of a write-off because although the noodles are good (just ok actually) the rest of the dishes are really not appealing to me -- for the simple reason that the recipes seem to be a hybrid mixture of different cuisines (Mandarin and Shanghainese) and the execution is frankly sloppy.
This blog post is presented without words because the pictures give enough info as to the quality of food (subpar recipes that no matter how well executed, still produce only ok dishes).
I will even go so far as to not wish Peaceful a long life as I usually do at the end of my posts because I would like to see it replaced with more authentic Northern Chinese food.
On another note, what's with the tremendous amount of non-Chinese eating here? I would submit that it is location, location, location rather than food, food, food.
