2 weeks ago I accompanied Dominic to one of our favorite Chinese restaurants in Richmond - Top Shanghai. We have been here several times before and keep coming back due to the consistent quality of food.
This restaurant serves Northern Chinese cuisine, different than Southern Chinese or Cantonese food. Shanghainese food features spicier dishes that are much more interesing in my opinion than Cantonese.
Value-for-money is very good here as prices are reasonable in relation to the quality of food.
Located just off the #1 Chinese food eating road in Greater Vancouver (#3 Road) parking is no problem since there is shared parking with Save On Foods in the same complex. The restaurant is busy which is always a good sign.
The menu features more than enough choices for virtually unlimited multiple dining trips.
Lunch: Smoked Fish, Pig Hand & Fish Soup.
Turn onto Ackroyd Rd. from #3 Rd. First parking lot on the right.
It has always been busy when I visit this eating place.
Smoked Fish. Very good. Yum yum.
The Smoked Fish here is better because it is softer than the same dish served at Shanghai River Restaurant down the road.
Whole fish includes fish head. Num num.
